Explaining the Difference

All of this leaves the church today with a massive challenge: to articulate the equality of the two sexes at the same time as the differences and then to explain the importance of these differences and why we need to preserve them. This is a challenge we must meet if we truly want what God says about sexuality to sound both good and plausible today. The lead needs to be taken by our churches’ pastors, but they will probably only have the courage if you encourage them. So ask your pastor(s) for some teaching and discussion on all of this as soon as they can provide the best context for it. We will all benefit from it. In the meantime, why not pick up your Bible, turn to one of the passages that talks about God’s marriage (in Christ) to the church and bask in the passionate intensity of his love for us? We are the object of the greatest love story ever told. And, this time, it’s actually true. And it will last forever.
